Cheap car insurance search could lower motoring costs

With many motorists seeking ways of reducing the costs of running a vehicle, looking for cheaper car insurance is one way that this can be done, it has been stated.

In an article in the Guardian, Ed Ewing has produced a list of things a driver can do to make the costs of driving less.

One of the ways he suggests this can be done is for searching for cheaper car insurance.

He states that the safest way to cut costs is to drive carefully to ensure a no claims bonus for future car insurance quotes and in the short-term shop around for the cheapest deal on offer.

However, he adds that "the cheapest way to slash car insurance costs is to lie", although this is illegal and if a motorist is caught could invalidate their car insurance policy.

Many drivers try to pull a fast one on their car insurance quote by stating that their car is regularly parked in a garage, when indeed it isn't, and if found out a driver will not be able to claim for an accident on their car insurance.

It is essential for a motorist to step up their search for cheap car insurance, as the cost of insurance policies has risen faster than the rate of inflation in the last decade, according to uSwitch.com.
