Cheap car insurance searches for Ford models may be rising

Searches for cheap car insurance for new Ford models may be increasing, if recent figures are anything to go by.

The manufacturer has revealed, despite the economic downturn, its sales were up last month compared with June 2008.

In addition, the company has increased its market share and it put this achievement down to its excellent line-up of models.

Managing director Nigel Sharp commented: "To beat a fiercely competitive market in the tough economic climate we're in proves that customers see the new Ford vehicle range as an exciting opportunity not to be missed."

In June, the group sold 29,800 new models in the UK, compared with 28,657 in the same month last year.

This saw the firm's market share increase from 13.7 per cent to 16.9 per cent.

Meanwhile, motorists who have recently splashed out on a new Ford vehicle may find they can keep running costs down by searching for cheap car insurance online.
