Drivers enjoy a good sing along
European car drivers enjoy a good sing song when behind the wheel, according to new research from elephant.co.uk.
Almost a fifth of car drivers admitted to always singing when driving while only seven per cent would much rather drive in peace and quiet.
Brian Martin, managing director of the firm stated that women were the most likely to sing when driving, with more than twice as many women admitting to hitting the high notes than as men.
He added that men were also the more likely to prefer to drive in silence, with 12 per cent of men happy to enjoy the quiet compared to just three per cent of women.
Drivers should be warned not too get to carried away with their singing and maintain the right amount of focus on the road, with an increase in a car insurance quote likely if a driver had an accident.
In the same research the firm also found Mr Brightside by the Killers was the most preferred in car hit in their study of 24 songs.
