East Anglia worst for windscreen damage
Motorists looking to cut down on the cost of their car insurance are advised to steer clear of East Anglia and the south of England as these are two locations where windscreen damage is most likely.
New research from Churchill Car Insurance has stated that because arable farming takes place close to main roads in the locations, it is no surprise that they are common windscreen claims hotspots.
The large machinery which is used on the farms often kicks up a lot of debris which ends up damaging the windscreens of passing cars, leading them to have to claim on their car insurance.
Claire Foster, spokesperson for Churchill Insurance, commented: "It is important to get windscreens fixed as soon as they are damaged, even when it is the smallest crack. If drivers fail to fix the damage, this could impair people's vision whilst driving."
And analysis of over 100,000 over a two year period from Accident Exchange found that many motorists are having to claim on their car insurance for damage done to their car while it is parked up.
