"Most advanced" charging stations arrive in Holland
The Netherlands has welcomed some of the "most advanced" electric motor charging stations, those with European car insurance may be interested to hear.
Drivers in Holland can use the Elektromotive Elektrobay electric vehicle platforms if they own one of the emission-free autos.
A total of five have been installed in locations such as Schipol International Airport and Amsterdam's central railway hub.
The manufacturer said the chargers are compatible with all plug-in hybrid and electric cars, and are accessible via a personalised key fob.
Elektromotive managing director Calvey Taylor-Haw said: "The installations in the Netherlands will strengthen our position in Europe and increase awareness of the growing need for proven electric vehicle charging infrastructures in European cities.
The company behind the units is British, but the stations are the result of collaboration with MisterGreen, an Amsterdam-based company focused on electric-powered transport and infrastructure.
In other eco-friendly news, Ford announced last week its ECOnetic Focus was taking a tour this summer as part of the BP Efficient Driving Challenge.
