Motorists advised of Highway Code refresher benefits
Motorists looking to increase their chances of gaining cheaper car insurance have been advised to refresh their knowledge of the Highway Code.
In support of National Anti-Bullying week, which is running throughout this week, the RAC Foundation is encouraging motorists to not become over-confident about their driving skills.
Many drivers believe they own the road and fail to consider how their actions impact upon other road users, according to the RAC.
These include certain drivers tailgating, while others hog the middle lane of a busy road when they are not overtaking.
The RAC added that "a good working knowledge of the Highway Code can help everyone to do the right thing and to be confident on our roads".
New research from moneysupermarket.com recently found that a motorist deemed to be at fault in an accident could see a cheap car insurance quote rise by as much as 60 per cent.
