Women drivers to get self-defence advice
Female drivers are to be given tips on how to defend themselves from "road rage" attacks while driving, it has emerged.
Lessons are to be offered by Vauxhall dealership Eastbourne Motoring Centre, the Argus reports, which will give women practical tips on self-protection and self-awareness, as well as car confidence psychology and car maintenance.
Some 92 women that have already signed up for the course will also be given advice on the causes of dangerous and aggressive driving.
Gail Taylor, marketing manager of the motoring centre, said: "Personal safety and security are imperative for everyone, particularly women today.
"We hope that, by highlighting the risks facing women drivers, the course will provide them with a wealth of information and practical advice."
She added that the menace of inconsiderate driving seems to be increasing in society.
Earlier this week, swiftcover.com reported that women should have the cheapest car insurance as they statistically cause fewer accidents than men.
